Here’s what excuses the left usually brings up. It creates a two‑tier citizenship. It’s extremely easy to weaponize. It incentivizes manipulation. It undermines legitimacy. It creates perverse incentives. And finally, it contradicts the core democratic principle.
And the Conservatives counter to that. 1. A more civically informed electorate. 2. Stronger confidence in election integrity. Clearer separation between citizens and non‑citizens. Incentives for civic participation and integration. Potential reduction in targeted political manipulation.
