Progressives interrupt Biden on the campaign trail. Biden was on the campaign trail giving the debunked speech about how the economy is roaring and everything’s great. Well members of his base, Progressives for Hamas showed up.

Jill and Harriss were also in attendance. They interrupted Biden’s campaign event more than a dozen times. Biden looked around lost as protestors shouted, “Genocide Joe!” Below are some clips of the event.

No Labels Asks the Justice Department to Investigate Its Critics.

NY Times Article.

No Labels, the centrist group that could field a third-party presidential bid, has asked the Justice Department to investigate what it calls unlawful intimidation by groups that oppose it.

The group filed a complaint on Jan. 11, accusing a number of political figures and other critics of engaging in voter suppression and violating federal law, including the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, which is often used to combat organized crime.

Leaders of No Labels who described the complaint during a news conference on Thursday pointed largely to previously reported details of efforts to oppose the group, as well as incendiary statements that some of its critics had made on political podcasts.

The group compared the efforts of its opponents to those of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1950s and ’60s and the fictional mob boss Tony Soprano. A montage of clips shown by the group included Rick Wilson, a founder of the anti-Trump Republican group the Lincoln Project, saying last spring that the group had to “be burned to the ground,” using an expletive — although the clip had been cut off before Mr. Wilson adds the word “politically.” (After being asked about the shortened clip, the group uploaded a version of the video with the full statement.)

Other critics featured in the montage were Jonathan V. Last of The Bulwark, a conservative news outlet, and Matt Bennett of Third Way, a centrist Democratic group.

Former Gov. Pat McCrory of North Carolina, a national co-chairman of No Labels, said that opponents of the group were “using intimidation to keep people off the ballot,” and attacking “the rights of the American people and our democracy.”

In a statement on Thursday, the Lincoln Project accused No Labels of trying to “weaponize the D.O.J.” to “attack their opponents for protected political speech.” In a separate statement, Third Way called the complaint “an all-too-predictable attempt to distract from the fact that No Labels has no chance of winning.” The Bulwark did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The complaint filed by No Labels was unusual for a group involved in campaign politics. Attacks and pressure campaigns against potential candidates, donors and supporters of a party are common in politics, particularly in high-profile presidential races, and are considered widely permissible by courts under First Amendment speech protections.

The group’s claims that its opponents are meaningfully infringing on voting rights are also complicated by the fact that a number of third-party presidential candidates have already entered the race, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the prominent environmental lawyer turned anti-vaccine activist.

In contrast, No Labels has yet to commit to entering the presidential race, and it remains unclear who would run under the group’s ballot line if it did. Senator Joe Manchin III, a conservative Democrat from West Virginia, who has been touring New Hampshire, is seen as a top potential candidate.

The group has also fought to block candidates from using its ballot line to run for offices other than president and vice president, in part to avoid disclosing its donors.

Ryan Clancy, the group’s chief strategist, said on Thursday that the group was “not trying to stand in the way of either party nominating whoever they want.” But Mr. Clancy and other leaders of the group said they would decide to enter the race only when it became clear that the two major parties would nominate President Biden and former President Donald J. Trump.

‘No Arrests Were Made’ When Pro-Palestinian Protesters Clashed with Police Near White House.

By MC.

Last week there was an insurrection attempt by Progressive Pro Hamas Demonstrators. An attempt was made to gain access, but the terrorists were not able to get past the gates. How many arrests?

The New York Post story cited by Levine is correct: No arrests were made related to events in the evening near the White House. “The Secret Service made no arrests associated with the march on Jan. 13,” a spokesperson for the U.S. Secret Service told The Dispatch Fact Check in an email. The D.C. Metropolitan Police also confirmed in an email that the department had made no arrests.

Julio Rosas on X: “🚨: DC police and Secret Service had to rush to one part of the security fence to prevent a breach from the Palestinian crowd. https://t.co/CQFkE6q9nn” / X (twitter.com)

Why are outside groups sending food and aid to Hamas supporters?

By MC.

With leadership that has several who are billionaires, why aren’t they paying to feed and clothe their fellow Arabs? They should be billed. How you collect from them is easy. They hide in Quatar, but I’m sure if other Arab countries pressure them, the money can be withdrawn from those banks. Hamas uses money to build tunnels instead of providing housing.

Hamas uses its funds for tunnel-building rather than basic infrastructure such as wells and water treatment, with the result that 12 per cent of childhood deaths in Gaza are due to contaminated water.

It also estimates the net worth of several Hamas leaders — all of whom, it notes, live hundreds of kilometres from Gaza, in Qatar. Abu Marzuk, deputy chair of the Hamas Political Bureau is worth $3 billion, while senior leaders Khaled Mashal and Ismail Haniyeh are each worth about $4 billion.

Thousands Protest Abortion at March For Life Rally in DC.

Below is the Allsides summary of yesterday’s March for Life. Below that are three articles covering it. Left, Right, and Center.

Summary from the AllSides News Team

Thousands attended the 51st National March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Friday in protest of legalized abortion.

Details: The annual march marks the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision that enshrined abortion access as a constitutional right. This court decision was overturned in the summer of 2022. The organization’s website states the annual march continues because “the necessary work to build a culture of life in the United States of America is not finished.”

Key Quotes: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) spoke at the rally, stating, “We can stand with every woman for every child, and we can truly build a culture that cherishes and protects life.”

Political Fight: The overturning of Roe in the summer of 2022 placed abortion at the center of elections across the country, with many Democratic candidates positioning themselves as defenders of abortion access, and many Republican candidates positioning themselves as champions of the pro-life cause. From congressional races to state supreme court races, the issue of abortion has repeatedly been credited as benefitting Democratic candidates at the ballot box, and is expected to be a key issue in 2024 elections.

How the Media Covered It: Outlets across the spectrum covered the rally, but right-rated outlets covered the event more prominently. The Associated Press (Lean Left bias) and The Hill (Center bias) labeled the attendees “opponents of abortion rights,” while the Washington Times (Lean Right bias) labeled them “pro-life activists.”

California Senate seat is open.

This debate is very important for the whole nation. Republicans have a very good chance of capturing this Senate seat. You have three far left extremists on the Democrat side running against a very good Republican candidate Steve Garvey.

US Senate Candidates Debate at USC

USC CENTER FOR THE POLITICAL FUTURE

Location: Both

3551 Trousdale Parkway
Los Angeles, CA, 90089

The USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future, FOX 11 Los Angeles, and POLITICO will co-host this year’s first debate for California’s Senate race at 6 p.m. PST, Monday, Jan. 22, at USC’s Bovard Auditorium.

The four California candidates invited to participate in the debate include Democratic U.S. Reps. Adam Schiff, Katie Porter and Barbara Lee, as well as Republican businessman Steve Garvey. The four were determined as qualified for the debate based on the results of the mid-December POLITICO/Morning Consult poll of likely primary voters.
The candidates are competing to fill the seat once held by the late U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein. California voters will determine the top two candidates in the state’s primary election on March 5. The top two, regardless of party, will advance to the general election, which voters will decide on Nov. 5.
The debate will be co-moderated by Elex Michaelson, Fox 11 News co-anchor and host of California’s statewide political talk show, “The Issue Is,” as well as by Melanie Mason, senior political reporter covering California politics for POLITICO.
Other collaborators for the debate include: California Environmental Voters Education Fund, Courage California Institute, East Bay Community Legal Center, Natural Resources Defense Council, and several student organizations at USC.

The debate, scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. PST, will be broadcast live, commercial-free on FOX 11 (KTTV) in Los Angeles and on Fox 2 (KTVU) in the Bay Area. It also will be livestreamed on FOXLA.com, POLITICO.com, and the Facebook page of the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future.
In addition to the television broadcast, the debate will air on KFI-AM 640 radio in Southern California and on the iHeart Radio app.

In-person tickets are not publicly available. For those few privately invited guests who are coming in person, a clear bag policy will be enforced. Valid photo ID is required. Any disruption during the event will result in immediate removal from the facility.

Weaponization-of-Government. Chicago.

By MC.

The City of Chicago is being sued and rightfully so. Remember that Chicago claims to be a sanctuary city and the undocumented are coming willingly.

In the lawsuit, Wynne Transportation alleges the ordinance punishes companies working with the state of Texas, prohibits cross-country travel and discriminates against unscheduled stops carrying migrants.

The company also alleges the ordinance carries out “intentional discrimination” against the passengers of the buses, claiming the traffic rules specifically target migrant charter buses.

The lawsuit accuses the city of violating federal and state law with its restrictions on what Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration has referred to as “rogue buses.”

Hey Joe, Remember when you claimed that you stopped the War in Yemen?

Visits: 25

Hey Joe, Remember when you claimed that you stopped the War in Yemen? During the Trump Administration, Saudi Arabia was buying weapons from the US and Yemen Progressive Houthis were labeled Terrorists.

Well Biden stopped the weapons sell and removed the Terrorist label from the Progressive Houthis. Joe even bragged that he stopped the war. Guess what? Houthis are attacking American ships and now Joe wants to label his former allies Terrorists.

Biden Says He’s Ending the Yemen War

Today marks a significant milestone—one year of a truce in the Yemen war. One year that has saved countless Yemeni lives, enabled increased humanitarian assistance to flow throughout the country, allowed Yemenis to travel throughout the Middle East, and set the conditions for a comprehensive peace. Maintaining this truce and strengthening progress toward peace has been a main focus of my administration’s engagement with our partners in the Middle East. That focus will continue intensively as we seek to build on this extraordinary progress and support all efforts towards a comprehensive resolution to this terrible conflict.

The United States remains fully committed to our partners in the region, and to supporting Saudi Arabia and the UAE from Iranian enabled attacks. The fact that cross border attacks from Yemen have ceased in the last year, as well as airstrikes inside Yemen, is yet another positive outcome of the truce. I look forward to continuing to work with all our partners in the region to permanently end the war in Yemen.

Left and Right Disagree on “Racism” Definition.

For conservatives, the definition of “racism” encompasses a narrower range of thought and behavior than it does for leftists or progressives. Conservatives see racism as an endorsement of one’s own racial group’s superiority, a belief about another racial group’s inferiority, or harmful behavior directed at someone specifically because of their race. Conservatives often require a higher standard of proof, relying on explicit evidence rather than implicit assumptions to charge someone with racist behavior. On the other hand, progressives define racism as not necessarily being limited to conscious intent, but as encompassing unconscious bias fundamental to everyone’s cultural upbringing and reaffirmed through systemic structures designed to support white people. They perceive racism as built into people’s way of being or seeing in the world. Therefore, progressives may charge someone with racism without explicit evidence the behavior or remarks of the accused were based on race, due to their belief that racism can operate as unconscious bias. Because progressives perceive many fundamental societal structures as built on systemic racism — meaning certain groups have more power than others — they view racism as linked to power, holding the belief that disadvantaged groups cannot be racist toward groups that have power. In the case of Trump’s tweets, the right sees a lack of explicit proof that Trump views the Squad as inferior due to their race, or denies that he criticized them based solely on their race and not their ideas. Progressives, on the other hand, perceive Trumps’s attempts to curb illegal immigration and the “go back” remarks as evidence of unconscious bias against immigrants and people of color.

We break down the differing “racism” definitions and hundreds of other terms in more detail in the AllSides Red Blue Dictionary. Understanding what other groups mean when they use certain terms can help us to appreciate other people’s worldview — even when we disagree.
