Admin Announces New Medicaid Drug-Pricing Program. Let’s see if this works.

If the drug companies go along, this would be awesome. Let’s see.

The U.S. government on Thursday announced a new program aimed at lowering prescription drug costs for Medicaid patients by linking prices to those paid in other countries.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said the program, called the GENEROUS Model, will allow states to buy certain medications at prices similar to those in select other countries. The program is set to begin in 2026.

“Drug prices in the U.S. remain far too high,” said Abe Sutton, director of the CMS Innovation Center. The program aims to ensure Medicaid pays prices on par with other developed nations, he said.

Is this a good thing? Department of War Announces New Press Corps Lineup.

I see good and bad, but my fear is that we may only get one side. Now the good is the attempt to stop the leaks. But Conservative outlets that will no longer report are Newsmax, Washington Times, and FOX.

Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs and Chief Spokesman Sean Parnell said in a press release that over 60 journalists from independent and conservative outlets will replace the leftwing media outlets that stormed out of the Pentagon.

Members of the media were asked to agree to increased security protocols, including the wearing of badges that clearly identify them as press, and restrictions to certain areas within the Pentagon. The new regulations also prohibit reporters from soliciting “classified national security information” and “controlled unclassified information,” including law enforcement-sensitive information and some operational security information.
