The United States launched retaliatory attacks in Iraq and Syria on Friday. This came in response to the drone attacks in Jordan that killed three American soldiers.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that airstrikes were conducted against more than 85 targets in Iraq and Syria against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and affiliated militia groups.
Shortly after the attacks were confirmed, President Joe Biden warned “If you harm an American, we will respond.”
The White House stressed Friday evening that the United States is not looking for war with Iran.
