NO Virginia there isn’t just one example of hate from the left. Just yesterday a person posted a comment that there was just one example of hate from the left. Well, it’s obvious that this person lives in a small corner of the world where life’s reality is ignored.

Recently ZACH KESSEL is a William F. Buckley Jr. Fellow in Political Journalism and a recent graduate of Northwestern University reposted a few tweets to show us true examples of hate from the left that exists on college campuses. Below are a few examples.

Zach Kessel on X: “Students at @Columbia have signed a statement somehow even worse than the @Harvard one. https://t.co/nwz2JPa2wL” / X (twitter.com)

Zach Kessel on X: “Students for Justice in Palestine (@SJPNU) at @NorthwesternU: Hamas barbarism is justified, and Israel is not “the aggrieved party.” https://t.co/aAE1rFoN01” / X (twitter.com)

Zach Kessel on X: “Students at another elite institution embrace Hamas terrorism, this time at @UMichLaw. https://t.co/775LZUTWYe” / X (twitter.com)

What say you?

CNN’s Tapper: Last Few Days Really Eye-Opening to ‘Antisemitism on the Left’

By PAM KEY

CNN anchor Jake Tapper said Tuesday on his show “The Lead” that after the Hamas terror attacks in Israel, the last few days have been a real eye-opening period “in terms of antisemitism on the left.”

Tapper said, “So you have a Democratic colleague from Michigan, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian American to serve in Congress, and she released a statement. ‘I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost. The path to peace must include lifting the blockade and, ending the occupation and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that could lead to resistance. As longs our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.’ What was your reaction when you heard Congresswoman Tlaib’s statement?”

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) said, “To me, I think the hardest part, not just about that statement but a number of statements that have come out from organizations and individuals, I don’t question whether someone has the right to be angry at the Israeli government, I question their inability to condemn grievous, grievous violence and that is what has been difficult.”

Tapper said, “There does seem to be, look, we spent a lot of time during the Trump years looking at antisemitism on the right. This does. These last few days have been a real eye-opening period for a lot of people, a lot of Democrats and a lot progressives in terms of antisemitism on the left. A lot of people who seemed more shocks at dehumanizing language to describe Hamas than what Hamas actually perpetrated on Saturday.”

Slotkin said, “Yeah, I mean, look, antisemitism should be stamped out wherever it is on the right, or on the left.”

Theft in office. buckandchuck.com

Biden was interviewed this weekend in the criminal investigation by special counsel probe into classified documents. Documents that he stole. So special counsel Robert Hur sat down with Biden to try and get to the bottom of the theft of top-secret documents when Biden was Senator and Vice President.

Of course, Biden will claim that he had no knowledge of those documents, but the one picture that I find striking is that his documents in the box that was in the garage. The picture says it all.

The special counsel investigation began after Biden’s lawyers found classified documents in multiple areas in his Delaware residence and in an office in Washington, D.C. The material was reportedly tied to his time as senator and as vice president.

The documents were discovered by the president’s personal attorneys who said they notified the National Archives and Records Administration and handed the papers over.

The FBI also conducted searches at the Biden family vacation home in Rehoboth, Del., and uncovered “some materials and handwritten notes” that also appeared to date back to his time as vice president. They were taken by the DOJ for further review.

Yesterday was Columbus Day. Or for some, Indigenous Peoples’ Day. I believe that some take offense if you call it Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Which is it to you?

This from NPR.

Biden became the first to officially recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day in 2021, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a time of reflection, recognition and celebration of the role Native people have played in U.S. history, as NPR has reported.

Columbus Day, which was established by Italian American groups to celebrate their heritage and to acknowledge the mistreatment of the immigrant group in the U.S.

So, what did you celebrate yesterday?

Trump, Kennedy, and Biden. The Black vote.

By Tom Tillison

Fox News host Jesse Watters stated the obvious on Monday’s edition of “The Five,” which is that Donald Trump “is not winning the black vote.”

The popular show’s quintet was discussing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. potentially being a spoiler candidate by running as an independent when Watters opined on who would be hurt more.

“It hurts Biden more than it hurts Trump,” he said. “I looked at some videos for the RFK rallies. You will not see Trump-looking voters at RFK rallies. It is college students and Black Americans. OK? That’s not what I’d consider the Trump base, OK?”

Cohost Jessica Tarlov, the token liberal at the table, chimed in: “At least you’re admitting now that black people don’t like Donald Trump.”

“I’m talking demographically, Jessica. Or did that go over your head?” Watters countered. “Trust me, they don’t vote for Trump, they vote for Democrats.”

“I thought they voted for Trump in bigger numbers than any prior candidate. He keeps banking on the fact that he’ll get more and more black voters,” cohost Martha MacCallum interjected.

“Trump is not winning the black vote!” Watters insisted. “He’ll do better than last time. But when you see a crowd of black people and a crowd of college students, you do not say, ‘That is a Trump rally!’ I mean, come on, people! Are we stupid here? Are we Jamaal Bowman here? What’s going on?”

(U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman is the Democratic lawmaker from New York who claimed he pulled a fire alarm because he thought it would open a locked door.)

Watters proceeded to paint a hypothetical involving northeastern voters.

“Let’s just say New Hampshire — critical vote electorally. You see Trump’s name, you see Biden’s name and you see Kennedy,” he explained. “Kennedy is synonymous with Democrat. Everybody in New Hampshire used to live in Massachusetts. They’re all Boston transplants. This guy has Boston coming out of his pores.”

“Who has a firmer grip on their base? Joe Biden or Donald Trump? Donald Trump does. Donald Trump absolutely does,” Watters continued. “Have you ever met a Trump voter that’s like, ‘You know what, I’m really considering voting for Kennedy, an environmental lawyer, who, if you go on his website, wants to stop mining, logging, and oil exploration. If you go on his website, RFK Jr., who I like, also wants government-run daycare. He is pro-choice! I’m not saying Trump people wouldn’t consider voting for him. I’m saying, overwhelmingly, this pulls from Biden.”

Fast Car, by Tracy Chapman — It’s even darker than you thought.

  • Post author By Phoenix
  • Post date October 3, 2023
  • No Comments on Fast Car, by Tracy Chapman — It’s even darker than you thought.

Fast Car is a Grammy Award winner (1989).

It has been covered by several artists, the latest being Luke Combs.

By the summer of 2023, Luke Combs went to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart and No. 2 on the Hot 100 with his cover of “Fast Car.’ Featured on his fourth album, Gettin’ Old, “Fast Car” was more than another cover song for the country singer, who shared that he would listen to the Chapman hit, and her entire debut album, while driving around with his father in a beat-up 1988 Ford F-150.

Most people realize that the song is not about the car. It is about the narrator and her living conditions: Poverty and despair and the desire to escape it. It is also about the generational cycles of the very poor.

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere
Any place is better
Starting from zero, got nothing to lose
Maybe we’ll make something
Me, myself, I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us out of here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
Won’t have to drive too far
Just ‘cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living

The first hint is in the following verse. Her dad is a drunk whose wife has left him and the narrator. Whether his drinking is the cause of her leaving or vice versa isn’t clear. What is clear is that the wife didn’t take her daughter with her.

See, my old man’s got a problem
He lives with the bottle, that’s the way it is
He says his body’s too old for working
His body’s too young to look like his
My mama went off and left him
She wanted more from life than he could give
I said, somebody’s got to take care of him
So I quit school and that’s what I did

While there is no indication that the narrator and her father were on welfare at the time, the last two lines reveal her descent into enablership. He didn’t need to be taken care of; he needed to get sober.

You got a fast car
Is it fast enough so we can fly away?
We gotta make a decision
Leave tonight or live and die this way

So I remember we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped ’round my shoulder
And I-I, had a feeling that I belonged
I-I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone.

Somewhere she hooked up with the owner of the car, who already shows some potential red flags — which she doesn’t see because he makes her feel special, like she could “be someone.”

They make the jump to the city. (If the father is dead, it isn’t stated.)

You got a fast car
We go cruising to entertain ourselves
You still ain’t got a job
And I work in a market as a checkout girl
I know things will get better
You’ll find work and I’ll get promoted
We’ll move out of the shelter
Buy a bigger house and live in the suburbs

This verse indicates that they live in a homeless shelter and that she got a job as a cashier, while he hasn’t done squat. Red Flag, but again she doesn’t notice.

Later, in another verse, we see that she’s been pregnant several times by this guy, but that she’s  risen high enough to pay their bills by herself:

You got a fast car
I got a job that pays all our bills
You stay out drinking late at the bar
See more of your friends than you do of your kids
I’d always hoped for better
Thought maybe together you and me would find it
I got no plans, I ain’t going nowhere
So take your fast car and keep on driving

So, she’s basically married a twin of her father. And she’s been enabling him to not straighten up and amount to something.  She’s been caring for him now for years. He seems fine with the situation.

There’s also an implied warning: she is running out of patience with him. The first time she says “We’ve got to make a decision.” But the final verse is somewhat different.

You got a fast car
Is it fast enough so you can fly away?
You gotta make a decision
Leave tonight or live and die this way

A failed relationship that started for the wrong reasons, as Tracy herself has said. She said it’s not autobiographical, even though she did grow up near Cleveland, OH to a single mother.. Did the ‘Fast Car’ owner wake up and make amends, or did the narrator become yet another single mother? The song doesn’t say definitively whether things got better —

or worse…?

Where do you go for answers to legal questions?

Doing someone's homework doesn't qualify.

Where do you go for answers to legal questions? I tend to use a variety of sources. Law books are worthless unless you’re a college student. Case Law now that’s different. I know a loon is going to say there’s no difference. With Case Law you see what’s been decided in similar situations. Watching CNN or MSNBC lawyers or Academia is a joke.

Academia who has never practiced law or been in a courtroom rarely will have the answers. Why anyone listens to them, is beyond me. Many of them and former prosecutors you see on TV, will agree with the host interviewing them.

When It comes to individual sources on legal questions, I like to use a friend of mine who’s a lawyer and has the highest degree a lawyer can get. The Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD). I also have a family member who’s a Federal Judge.  And I myself having been a police officer who also testified as a witness for and against prosecutors.

And no, someone who filed for bankruptcy, and does someone elses homework doesn’t qualify as a source to use when it comes to the law.

Lying to PROPUBLICA.

Joey Boy is upset that X is now allowing Conservative and real doctors to post facts.John Hardwood interviewed Biden and as usual Joe told one falsehood after another. But what I found interesting was his bull about X since Musk bought them.

Before Musk when it was Twitter, one lie after another from the cultists on the left was allowed to go unchallenged.

After the purchase, more Conservatives were able to voice their opinion and use facts instead of MSM talking points.

We also got shown the proof where real doctors were shadow banned or outright banned. Plus Musk revealed how the Biden administration cabinet members were asking for Conservative thought to be deleted. Biden is now upset because those on the left are finally getting the truth.

Like a clock, Newsom can be right twice. Newsom Vetoes Bill Offering Strikers Unemployment Pay.

Editorial-Reuters.

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Saturday vetoed a bill that would have paid unemployment benefits to striking workers, and had drawn strong support from labor unions and from his fellow Democrats in the state legislature.

In rejecting the bill, Newsom noted that the state’s unemployment trust fund is already nearing $20 billion in debt.

“Now is not the time to increase costs or incur this sizable debt,” he wrote in a message explaining his veto.

The Democratic-majority legislature passed the bill in September amid several high-profile strikes. Hollywood writers ended their nearly five-month walkout 12 days later but Hollywood actors remain out on the picket lines. Southern California hotel workers are also on strike.

The bill would have made workers out on strike for at least two weeks eligible for unemployment checks. The vast majority of states, with the exception of New York and New Jersey, do not offer unemployment benefits to striking workers.

Democrat’s Words Come Back to Haunt Him.

Story by Carver Malone.

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland argued that it was wrong for Republicans to move forward with an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden without having a full floor vote.

It appears Raskin has short-term memory issues because he argued this was unnecessary while impeaching former President Donald Trump.

Raskin, who is a former constitutional law professor at American University, supported Nancy Pelosi in 2019 during the impeachment of Trump.

BREAKING - BIDEN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY: Respected legal scholar Professor @JonathanTurley affirms that the threshold for impeachment inquiry into Biden has been met. WATCH pic.twitter.com/pGif4k1N0p

— Simon Ateba (@simonateba) September 28, 2023

“There’s no formal constitutional or statutory [requirement] or even House rule for how an impeachment inquiry is to begin, and so it means different things to different people,” he said in September 2019.

“A lot of people believe we’ve been in an impeachment inquiry ever since we started looking into potential high crimes and misdemeanors and the misconduct of the executive branch,” the congressman continued.

“I would say we are in an impeachment investigation and as to the results of the investigation, it could lead to articles of impeachment or it could lead to something else,” Raskin said.

In contrast, Raskin called for a vote for the impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden. This shows Raskin makes decision based on his personal biases and political motivation, rather than respected principles.

“We’ve had to slide awkwardly into a House impeachment process without the benefit of the floor vote that Speaker [Kevin] McCarthy insisted was absolutely imperative and necessary when Donald Trump was impeached,” Raskin said.

“That’s exactly what has not happened here, because they don’t have the votes, because dozens of Republicans recognize what a futile and absurd process this is,” he added.

Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York hilariously said, “Jamie Raskin should listen to Jamie Raskin.”

🚨FLASHBACK 🚨

In 2019 Rep. Raskin didn't think a House vote was needed to launch an impeachment inquiry.
