Make no mistake. The present administration removed sanctions on Iran thinking that Iran would be forever grateful. So what did removing those sanctions get us in return?

The Jerusalem Post reported speculation that Iran would attack on the Jewish holiday of Tisha B’Av, the Ninth of Av, a day of mourning on which the destruction of the First and Second Temples is commemorated by fasting:

Western intelligence sources told Sky News Arabia that they had evidence Iran plans to attack Israel on Tisha B’Av in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, which begins on August 12 and ends on August 13, the site reported on Friday.

The report indicates that there is an emotional and psychological impact in targeting Israel on the holy day of mourning.

The report claimed that Jewish Israelis may feel particularly vulnerable on this day – adding an additional layer of psychological torment.

Thanks Joe and Kamala. Job growth down, unemployment up. Nonfarm payrolls grew by just 114,000 for the month, down from the downwardly revised 179,000 in June and below the Dow Jones estimate for 185,000. The unemployment rate edged higher to 4.3%, its highest since October 2021.

Another disappointing month thanks to Joe and Kamala. The rise in the unemployment rate brings into play the so-called Sahm Rule, which states that the economy is in recession when the three-month average of the jobless level is half a percentage point higher than the 12-month low. In this case, the unemployment rate was 3.5% in July 2023 before it began its gradual ascent. The three-month unemployment rate average moved up to 4.13%.

So it looks as if we’re heading for a recession. Just in time for the elections.

Well, we continue to see that the economy is still struggling. Again, Jobless claims have risen. And that’s been happening ever since Donald Trump left office. We have this from Breitbart.

This was higher than even the most pessimistic forecasts in Econoday’s survey and far above the consensus estimate of 236,000.

The number of people collecting unemployment benefits beyond their initial week increased by 33,000 to 1.88 million. This is the highest number of continuing claims since 2021, when the economy was still staggering from the pandemic. The rise continuing claims indicates that Americans who have lost their jobs are having more trouble finding new work.

How could this be? Democratic Candidate Arrested on Multiple Felony Voter Fraud Charges.

Every time I see an article on voter fraud I think about this loon in California who claimed to have checked all fifty states for voter fraud and only found one case. And supposedly a Republican.

Well, I haven’t checked all fifty states, but it seems as if every time there is an article on voter fraud, it’s a Democrat. A Democratic Party candidate is being charged with a bevy of felony counts, all related to alleged voter fraud.

Terry Andrew Heflin, the 45-year old candidate for a commission seat in Clay County, Alabama, was arrested Tuesday on seven counts of unlawful use of absentee ballots, according to a news release from the Alabama Attorney General’s office. Each unlawful use of the ballots comes with a punishment ranging from one to 10 years in prison.

Trump Sit-down With Black Journalists. Trump is scheduled to be interviewed on Wednesday afternoon at the event by three Black women journalists, Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, ABC News’ Rachel Scott and Semafor’s Kadia Goba.

Harris, who was invited, could not make it to Chicago in person but is willing to participate in a virtual fireside chat with the organization, according to a person familiar with her plans.

Some NABJ members and members of the media say Trump’s treatment of Black reporters during his presidential term should disqualify him from participating. Others are upset about the timing of the announcement — two days before the five-day convention begins, and as many members were already traveling to Chicago for the event.

Metro UK reports that the Paris 2024 Olympic Games kicked off with a grand opening ceremony along the River Seine on Friday, showcasing a blend of French culture, artistry, and athleticism. However, the event has sparked controversy for its bizarre imagery mocking Christians. As controvery began to rage, the video of the opening ceremonies was deleted from the Olympics YouTube channel.

Despite the controversy, some elements of the ceremony received praise. The performance by Gojira, who delivered a metal version of “Ah! Ça Ira” alongside opera singer Marina Viotti, was particularly well-received. The band later shared their excitement on Instagram, calling it a “once in a lifetime experience.”

President Trump had that huge spending the year COVID hit. Joe Biden had three vaccines that he said would save us all. What we got was a million COVID deaths and about 8 trillion in new debt.
